In 1956, Chrysler's chief engineer in a public relations campaign took a Belvedere and had a turbine engine fitted instead of the standard gasoline engine, and was driven across the US.
The Belvedere Was, Again, Plymouth's High Trim Level Car. Body Side Came With “Sport Tone” Trim Of A Distinct Angled Back Pattern Which Featured Belvedere Model Nameplates, Chrome Back Up Lamp Housings, And Other Features To Give This 50's Cruiser A Unique Look And Styling.
